History of Edenhall Estate

A journey through the history, folklore, and enduring legacy of Edenhall Estate and the land that surrounds it.

The Luck of Edenhall

The legendary 14th century glass chalice known as the “Luck of Edenhall” is said to have been stolen from a troop of fairies by the butler when drawing water from from the well. On doing so the fairies cast a spell on the cup saying, “If this glass should break or fall, farewell The Luck of Eden Hall”. Thankfully the Luck is now safely preserved in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London and is regarded as one of it’s most prized possessions.

History Testimonial

"We had the perfect birthday weekend in the Forrest, The Lost Cabins. It felt completely private – so peaceful and tucked away, just what we needed to switch off."
